How to Learn Quick
Study techniques and habits to accelerate your learning — without falling for the illusion that you can learn everything in a few days.

Learning quickly comes down to efficient use of time and effective study techniques. A few tips that work for me:
-
Set clear goals: before learning something, define specific, achievable, measurable objectives.
-
Learn actively: instead of just reading and highlighting, engage with the material — take notes, summarize, and teach the concept to someone else (even a rubber duck).
-
Focus on what matters: identify the essential information and spend your time and energy there. Don't get lost in irrelevant details.
-
Use visual aids: diagrams, mind maps, and other visuals help your brain anchor information.
-
Take breaks: short breaks recharge focus between sessions.
-
Sleep enough: poor sleep harms your ability to learn and retain information.
-
Practice regularly: consistent practice consolidates knowledge and builds skill. Spend time every day on what you're learning.
-
Exercise: regular physical activity improves cognitive function and accelerates learning.
-
Eliminate distractions: turn off notifications, avoid multitasking. Multitasking destroys focus.
-
Use AI as a study tool: ChatGPT, Claude and other LLMs are great for explaining concepts in different ways, generating exercises, and checking your reasoning. Use them as study partners, not crutches.
Remember: learning quickly doesn't mean learning everything in a short time. It means using effective techniques and setting realistic goals to optimize the process.
Never stop learning.
